Make sure Node.js is installed (Claude Desktop uses it to connect to remote MCP servers). Check by opening Terminal and running:

If you see a version number, you're good. Otherwise install from nodejs.org (LTS version).

Open Claude Desktop, click Claude → Settings (menu bar) → Developer tab → Edit Config.
(This opens ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.jsonin your default editor. If the file is empty, that's fine — paste the whole snippet below.)

Paste this into the file. If the file already has an mcpServers object, just add "ask-basant" as a new key inside it.

↑ Replace ab_live_PASTE_YOUR_KEY_HERE with the key you generated in Step 1.

Save the file, then quit Claude Desktop completely (Cmd+Q) and reopen it.

In any new chat, ask: "Ask Basant: when should I sell a multibagger?". The first time Claude calls the tool it'll show an "Allow this tool?" prompt — pick "Allow always for this conversation"(or the "Don't ask again" option if you see one) so it doesn't interrupt every reply.
